DETEX SD gives its delay to the shock tube going into the hole. It is not used to initiate cap sensitive explosives. There is no need to bury it in the ground as it does not create any shrapnel effect. 6 tubes can be placed in the DETEX SD connectors and exploded without any problems. It can be initiated with another DETEX SD detonator or electric detonator.
